S&E Manufacturing
S&E Manufacturing is a Canadian manufacturing company specializing in precision-machined metal parts for a wide range of industries.
When Martin Poulsen took over the company, he wanted a new logo and a website that would give S&E Manufacturing a more distinctive visual identity while showcasing the company’s professionalism and technical expertise.
I developed the new visual identity and designed the website with a focus on strong imagery, clear communication, and a well-organized presentation of the company’s products and manufacturing capabilities.
The Challenge
S&E Manufacturing already had a website that I had previously created for the company’s founder, Sven Poulsen.
With a generational transition came the desire for a new visual identity that better reflected the company’s direction and ambitions.
In an industry where many websites look alike, Martin wanted something that would stand out without compromising the professional and technical look and feel.
At the same time, it needed to be easy for potential customers to understand what S&E Manufacturing produces, what machinery and expertise the company has at its disposal, and how to request a quote for a project.
The Solution
I started by designing a new logo and then developed the website’s visual style based on the new identity.
The design was intended to stand out from the more traditional websites in the manufacturing industry, while still reflecting the precision, quality, and professionalism that characterize S&E Manufacturing.
The beautiful photos, taken by Diana Poulsen, became an important part of the solution. I used them to create a visual presentation of the company’s machinery, employees, and products.
I designed the website with a clear structure that allows visitors to explore the company’s manufacturing capabilities, view examples of manufactured parts, and read about its quality assurance efforts.
In addition, the website features a quote request form where potential customers can describe their project and attach a technical drawing.
Martin Poulsen provided the text, which I incorporated into the design so that the content and images together convey a clear picture of the company.
The result
S&E Manufacturing received a new visual identity and a website that clearly showcases the company’s capabilities and sets it apart in the manufacturing industry.
The striking images, consistent design, and clear structure give visitors a professional impression and make it easy to find information about both products and manufacturing capabilities.
Although the website is now more than six years old, the company still receives positive feedback on its design.
I continue to assist S&E Manufacturing with graphic design and marketing materials, ensuring that the visual identity is also utilized beyond the website.
