Psykoterapeut Anja de Thurah
Anja de Thurah had a clear vision of how she wanted to present her expertise and her work—and a desire to build and develop her website herself.
I therefore designed and developed a WordPress website with custom-built ACF blocks that Anja can freely combine with her own text and images.
It was a close collaboration with plenty of ideas, testing, and adjustments along the way. SEO and content structure have also been an important part of the work, ensuring that the website works well for visitors and is easier for search engines to understand.
The Challenge
Anja has a wealth of professional knowledge to share and is constantly working on both web pages and blog posts. She therefore needed a website that could grow along with her content, without having to build each new page from scratch.
At the same time, she wanted the freedom to decide for herself how to arrange the text and images without compromising the overall design.
The challenge was to strike a balance between flexibility, user-friendliness, and a well-organized structure for both visitors and search engines.
The Solution
I designed and developed a flexible block system in WordPress using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) so that Anja can build her own pages using different layouts and content elements.
The blocks allow her to create variety while ensuring that the typography, spacing, and visual style are consistent throughout the website.
Anja provides all the text and images herself. My role has been to create the framework for the content and help ensure that both the design and functionality work as intended.
We have tested, refined, and further developed the solutions along the way. In addition, I have worked on SEO, page layout, and the technical structure to ensure that the extensive content has the best possible chance of being found.
The result
Anja now has a website that she can continue to work on and customize as new ideas and content emerge.
The custom-developed block system gives her great freedom without requiring her to compromise on a cohesive design.
At the same time, our ongoing collaboration on SEO, content, and technical improvements has turned the website into a project that can continue to evolve.
For me, this is also a great example of how much can be achieved through close dialogue, mutual trust, and a willingness to try out new ideas.
