Ballauff Danmark
Ballauff is known for its original bobbin-woven curtains, which have been produced at a family-owned factory in France since 1872.
I designed and developed a WordPress website using Elementor, with a focus on presenting the products in a simple and visually appealing way.
Here, the photos are an important part of the experience. They showcase both the details of the materials and the many ways Ballauff curtains can be used in different interior designs.

The Challenge
Ballauff needed a website where its unique tapestry curtains could be presented in a way that reflected the products’ quality and craftsmanship.
The products come in various styles, colors, and applications, and it needed to be easy for visitors to get an overview of the options.
The challenge was to create a visually striking design that gave the images space while ensuring that information about the products, their history, and the retailers was easy to find.
The Solution
I used the text and images Jan had provided as a starting point and designed a website that put Ballauff’s products and their unique style front and center.
Using large images, muted colors, and a simple layout, I have created a visual style that highlights both the materials and the craftsmanship behind the products.
The different types of rod-hung curtains each have their own pages, where photos and descriptions allow visitors to explore the products’ details and possible uses.
I’ve also created an inspiration section that showcases the curtains in various settings, as well as a space dedicated to the history of Ballauff’s craftsmanship and traditions.
The website was developed using WordPress and Elementor and features intuitive navigation that makes it easy to find products, inspiration, and retailer information.
The result
Ballauff now has an elegant and user-friendly website that showcases its products and their unique style.
The large images allow visitors to explore materials, colors, and various applications, while the simple structure makes it easy to find relevant information.
The result is a website that serves both as a product showcase and a source of inspiration, while also telling the story of a craft with a long tradition.
The project was carried out during my employment at DKPU.
